PROJECT STATEMENT | 项目说明
An ideal home can be found both within the city and in the garden. As the world’s fastest urbanizing and most successful mega-city, Shenzhen embodies the hopes and dreams of over 10 million immigrants. This project focuses on the relationship between daily life, life goals, and the urban environment, resulting in the creation of an interactive audiovisual garden. Using 3D parametric modeling technology, the design achieves a modular construction of a spherical loudspeaker, which is folded from galvanized sheet panels to create an origami art sculpture as the garden’s centerpiece. This environmentally friendly and sustainable design features an eco-friendly material and a disassembled modular prefabricated assembly method. The design team also gathered audio recordings of personal dreams from ordinary citizens in Shenzhen, which are played through the garden’s speakers, showcasing
the diverse life journeys and beautiful dreams of the city’s residents.
